Ingredients

Sliders
  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls 12-count
  • 1 lb cooked turkey thinly sliced or shredded
  • 1 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 8 oz Swiss or provolone cheese sliced
Buttery Glaze
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dried minced onion or onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Baking Dish

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Without separating the rolls, slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally to create a top and bottom layer. Place the bottom layer into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Arrange the cooked turkey evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey and spread it from edge to edge so each slider gets some sauce.
  5. Layer the sliced cheese evenly over the cranberry-topped turkey.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back on to form a full sheet of sliders.
  7. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, garlic powder, and dried thyme.
  8. Brush the butter mixture generously over the tops of the rolls, letting it drip into the creases between them.
  9. Cover the baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden and slightly crisp.
  11. Let the sliders rest for about 3 minutes, then slice along the roll lines and serve warm.

Notes

These Turkey Cranberry Sliders are perfect for using leftover holiday turkey. For extra flavor, add a thin layer of stuffing under the turkey or sprinkle the tops with sesame or poppy seeds before baking.
